I’m a former landscape designer who couldn’t run a business profitably, but still loves gardening. I love jewelry making and natural gemstones, too, but know better than expect to make a living with that.
Most of all I’ve always longed to be a writer, but let the chores of keeping up with life hold me back. Through a weird twist of fate a bad event has turned out to be an opportunity to spend time doing what I love. I’m living with the consequences of a botched hip replacement operation a few years ago that left me with nerve damage and limited driving ability. What can I do now that I spend most of my time sitting home alone, out of work? Well, I can’t really garden, but I can write about it, and also explore other subjects like pets, TV, consumer issues, literature and medical news. I write for pennies on a few sites, mostly the former Associated Content, now part of Yahoo!
Sooner or later, I’ll attempt a novel, but I can’t quite figure out a worthy plot yet. If you have a great plot idea, send it to me, and while you’re at it, outline it thoroughly and write the first 15 chapters or so. Please be good about character development, huh?
When life hands you a rotten tomato, save it, cause someone you’d like to throw it at will come along soon.
